Importance of first search engine page results

Hi Friends, Last week I read an article on Search Engine Optimization. that article describes the important fact towards search engine results pages. When a visitors search on a topic, they only visit first page results and if they have provide no information on that than mostly visitors turn to different search engine. According to recent study most users will go through only three pages of search results before giving up. A majority, 62 percent, clicked on a result from the first page, and 41 percent moved to a different search engine rather than move to the second page.The industry tends to translate this data by suggesting companies work harder to ensure their sites rank higher in search results.
