Optimization of e-commerce site is very important for good ranking in search engines. The main task of these sites are selling products online. If the competitor site is up in organic search results than it effects the selling of your site especially if your competitor is selling the same products. The techniques used in optimizing an e-commerce site is same as other sites.

For a particular page of the site to rank high on search engine results, the page must have some qualities like: a good title and description for a page that targeted to your products, content of the page is unique,good anf rich of keywords you trageted. Your web page also require links from other site to your page.

The home page url of your site ic not redirecting to your product page. Home page is the first attraction for visitors and for search engines crawlers. A site is crawled by crawler through home page. Don,t target your site for selling purpose only, write some good content and try to make a web page informative. Informative page is very important for google point of view.

The main reason for ranking down in organic search results are duplicate contents. If your page have duplicate content than the google remove that page from their search results.If you are selling products that your competitors are also selling, then your product page need to be different than their product page. The percentage of duplicate content on your site is limited to 25 only.

The title tag of your different pages are according to your products. All information about the products of the site must be linked with home page. Home page of the site is the first attraction for visitors and if all products information are placed on it than this is easy for visitor to purchase a product. The search engines also crawled every product page of the site if they are linked to home page.

By making a few changes to our site we can increase the visitors. If the product pages are on good rank in search engines, we increase a lot of potential online sales through a site.
